The  Camarillo Ranch Foundation is proud to announce the 2010 Scholarship program. This year we will be offering a total of $2,000 in scholarships available to family relatives of Los Compadres members of the Camarillo Ranch.

Greetings and Happy 2010.

We hope your 2009 was a wonderful year and look forward to a fantastic 2010. We have lots of great plans for the Camarillo Ranch in the new year.

Here’s a quick look at some of the events we have planned for 2010:

Casino Night
Our first Annual Casino Night will take place in early April in our newly refurbished barn. You don’t need to go all the way to Vegas to enjoy a great evening of Poker, Blackjack, Roulette and Craps.

Member Brunch
Each year we honor all the community members who are members of the Ranch with a brunch served by our Board members. Please plan on becoming a member of the Ranch to enjoy this event as a thank you from us to you.

Fourth Annual Beer Fest and Classic Car Show
Our Beer Fest and Classic Car Show (formerly Oktoberfest) should be another great event in the early fall. Each year, we feature over a hundred classic cars and suds from many of our local breweries and distributors. Make a day of it here at the Ranch.

10th Annual Candlelight Gala
First Friday in December. We can hardly believe we are celebrating our 10th annual Gala. It’s not too early to mark your calendar and plan to celebrate the holiday season with us for this memorable event.

Scholarships
Each year, the Camarillo Ranch provides up to $2000 in scholarships to paid members’ children or grandchildren. Individuals who have been paid members for at least one year are eligible to apply for these scholarships. This is just another way we want to say thank you to our members for their continued support.

Don’t forget, the Camarillo Ranch is on both Facebook and Twitter. Be sure to sign up for both to keep up with the happenings around the Ranch.

On Wednesday evenings in December before Santa makes his worldwide journey on Christmas Eve, Santa will be visiting the Camarillo Ranch. Please join us to meet with Santa and Mrs. Claus. There will be live entertainment, Christmas carolers, cookies and punch and handmade wooden toys on display.

You and your family are cordially invited to come out and meet Santa in our fabulous Victorian home decorated for the holidays. And be sure to bring your camera to photograph your little ones with Santa.

Whimsically decorated for the holiday, the Ranch House has been magically transformed into the reminicence of a winter wonderland. This historic Queen Anne Victorian has been beautifully draped with decorations, garlands and wreaths giving you the feeling you’ve taken a step back in time.

Decorations will also don the newly renovated Red Barn bringing a complete holiday feel to the property. The Barn will be open for viewing for a limited time at this event, so make sure to get there early to see this beautifuly renovated treasure.

Come and enjoy fabulous food, open wine bar, silent and live auctions, live music & dancing and horse drawn carriage rides around the property. Start your Holiday Season off with a bang by joining the Camarillo Ranch Foundation in celebrating this holiday season.

Tickets are limited and sold on a first come first serve basis. Tickets may be purchased at the Camarillo Ranch Office located on Ranch House property or by any Ranch Foundation Board Member.

On Sunday, October 25th from noon to 5 pm the Camarillo Ranch Docents are hosting a celebration of Don Adolfo Camarillo’s birthday. We cordially invite the community to join in the fun.

The Third Annual Camarillo Ranch Oktoberfest and Classic Car Show is coming Sunday, September 27th from 11 am to 4 pm. The event will be open to the public for a small admission charge. The Camarillo House and newly renovated Red Barn will also be open for tours during the event.

In our first two years, more than 100 classic and hot-rod cars (1979 and older) have been on display on the grounds of the Camarillo Ranch to well over 1000 visitors. This year promises to be bigger and better than the past events.

There will be a variety of food catered by the Thousand Oaks Elks Club. For those who would like to partake of beer, there will be several varieties from local breweries for a nominal charge. (Only persons 21 and older may sample beers.)

Local vendors will also be offering car care products and other related items.
