The Camarillo Ranch Foundation is proud to announce the 2010 Scholarship program. This year we will be offering a total of $2,000 in scholarships available to family relatives of Los Compadres members of the Camarillo Ranch.
We hope your 2009 was a wonderful year and look forward to a fantastic 2010. We have lots of great plans for the Camarillo Ranch in the new year.
Here’s a quick look at some of the events we have planned for 2010:
Casino Night
Our first Annual Casino Night will take place in early April in our newly refurbished barn. You don’t need to go all the way to Vegas to enjoy a great evening of Poker, Blackjack, Roulette and Craps.
Member Brunch
Each year we honor all the community members who are members of the Ranch with a brunch served by our Board members. Please plan on becoming a member of the Ranch to enjoy this event as a thank you from us to you.
Fourth Annual Beer Fest and Classic Car Show
Our Beer Fest and Classic Car Show (formerly Oktoberfest) should be another great event in the early fall. Each year, we feature over a hundred classic cars and suds from many of our local breweries and distributors. Make a day of it here at the Ranch.
10th Annual Candlelight Gala
First Friday in December. We can hardly believe we are celebrating our 10th annual Gala. It’s not too early to mark your calendar and plan to celebrate the holiday season with us for this memorable event.
Scholarships
Each year, the Camarillo Ranch provides up to $2000 in scholarships to paid members’ children or grandchildren. Individuals who have been paid members for at least one year are eligible to apply for these scholarships. This is just another way we want to say thank you to our members for their continued support.

On Wednesday evenings in December before Santa makes his worldwide journey on Christmas Eve, Santa will be visiting the Camarillo Ranch. Please join us to meet with Santa and Mrs. Claus. There will be live entertainment, Christmas carolers, cookies and punch and handmade wooden toys on display.
You and your family are cordially invited to come out and meet Santa in our fabulous Victorian home decorated for the holidays. And be sure to bring your camera to photograph your little ones with Santa.

On Sunday, October 25th from noon to 5 pm the Camarillo Ranch Docents are hosting a celebration of Don Adolfo Camarillo’s birthday. We cordially invite the community to join in the fun.
THIRD ANNUAL OKTOBERFEST IS RETURNING TO THE CAMARILLO RANCH
SUNDAY, SEPT. 27, FROM 11 A.M. TO 4 P.M.
The third annual Camarillo Ranch Oktoberfest and Car Show returns Sunday, Sept. 27, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to the historic ranch.
The event will be open to the public for a $5 admission charge.
Up to 100 classic and hot rod cars (1979 and older) will be on display on the front lawn in front of the 1892 Camarillo House.
There will be a variety of food vendors, including the Thousand Oaks Elks Club. For those who would like to partake of beer, there will be varieties of beer from local breweries for an additional charge. Persons must be 21 years or older.
Local vendors will offer car care products and other items. Live music will be provided by the Old Time Fiddlers. There will be a 50-50 raffle with prizes.
The newly-renovated 1905 Red Barn, which was reopened in July, will be open for the event featuring a special display.
The 2008 Oktoberfest and Classic Car Show was a great success drawing more than 1100 persons to view 120 cars, with 100 cars on the front lawn of the 1892 Camarillo Victorian House. This year, the house will again be open for tours during the Oktoberfest.

Martina Nicholson, Great granddaughter of Adolfo Camarillo has just published her third book of poetry.
She will be having a poetry reading on Wednesday, August 26th, at the Camarillo Ranch at 7pm.
