What is the maximum occupancy of guests at the Camarillo Ranch?
The Estate Lawn can seat up to 1,000 guests.
The Red Barn can seat up to 250 guests.
The Gazebo can seat up to 300 guests.
What are the allotted rental hours for the venue? Does this include set-up and break down time?
Event: 5.5 Hour Event. Set-up: 2 hours before event start time. End Time: All events must end no later than 11PM. Breakdown: 2 hours after the event ends.
Do we need to schedule an appointment to view the grounds or bring guests/vendors to view the property?
Yes. Our Events Team is more than excited to meet with you! In order to ensure our availability we ask that you please contact us in advance for an appointment by calling (805)389-8182 or emailing email@example.com.
Is the client responsible for set-up and clean up?
Our exclusive caterer Command Performance will do all the setup and cleanup. You are responsible for coordinating all set up and clean up of any/all decorations.
Is outside catering allowed?
No. the Ranch has partnered with Command Performance as our exclusive in-house caterer and together, we have designed customizable menus for your event. Special meal requests such as Gluten Free, Vegan, Vegetarian and Child meals can be accommodated. Ask us about kosher and other speciality menus as well.
Is equipment included in the packages?
Yes. Equipment, such as vineyard cross back chairs, white folding chairs, tables and linens, are provided in our All-Inclusive Package for your outdoor ceremony & indoor reception. Please inquire for more details.
Can we bring in our own vendors?
Yes. However, all vendors must have prior approval from our Event Team before your event takes place. You may bring in your own vendors for Photography, Videography, DJ, Floral, etc. We have put together a list of fantastic vendors who have worked at the Ranch and are familiar with the property. NOTE: Please note that in addition to obtaining prior approval, all vendors must be fully insured and posses a City of Camarillo Business Tax Certificate to work at the Ranch.
Can we bring in our own beverages?
Yes. All alcohol/beverages are to be provided by the client and served by our professional catering staff.
What is the required deposit to lock in my date?
50% deposit is due upon signing the contract. The remaining fees are due 90 before your event date. NOTE: All deposits and payments made towards the venue rental fee are NON-refundable.
Is a Menu Tasting provided?
All couples will be invited to the Tasting event where they will get to experience many different food choices. If you select a menu that includes plated service, a private Tasting will be scheduled with Command Performance. All clients will have meeting with Command Performance approximately 60-90 days out from the event date. At the that time, Command Performance will prepare the final details for your event.
Can we have live music and how late can we play music?
Yes. Live music must end by 10 P.M, as the DJ can play till 11 P.M
Are there any insurance requirements?
Yes. Liability insurance is required and must be provided to the Event Team no later than 90 days prior to your event. Liability Insurance can obtained through the City of Camarillo. Are open flames allowed?
No. Open flame are not allowed on property. This includes candles and sparklers.
Is there storage on-site where we can keep items overnight?
No. Items are not allowed to be dropped off prior to your event date. All items must be set up and cleaned up on your event day.
Is there a place at the Ranch where the bride and groom can get dressed?
Yes. We offer a Bridal Suite located inside the 1892 Victorian Mansion that is available to the bride and groom up to 2 hours prior to the start of the ceremony. This is a waiting room and valuables should not be left unattended.
Is the Victorian Mansion a part of the rental?
The couple and select guests are allowed into the home for one hour of photography on the day of the event, to be coordinated in advance with the Event Team. The bridal suite connects to and is a part of the main home, though it is locked off on the day of an event. If you’re interesting in adding the Victorian Mansion to you package, contact our Events Team to discuss.
How should I utilize the two hours allotted before my wedding?
We strongly recommend that the 2 hours prior to your event start time be used for putting on the finishing touches in our newly renovated bridal suite and enjoying your friends and family, as well as taking pre-ceremony pictures.
What is the capacity for the barn?
250 with dancefloor, 300 without a dancefloor.
Can you help us arrange for local hotel rooms?
Yes! For your convenience, we will be happy to provide you with a list of local hotels.
Is there a dedicated groom’s room?
Although there’s no groom’s room, the groom and his men are more than welcome to come to the property before the ceremony. There is also a brewery within walking distance to the venue. Photographers are able to follow the group over to the brewery to get some unique shots.
What is the weather like in ___________?
Camarillo is well known for its lovely weather. Being about 15 miles from the Pacific Coast, there’s always a nice cool breeze, perfect for a wedding day. To compare with previous years, an almanac and internet are great tools.
